How does the ATLAS Authentication Portal work with ILLiad?

Symptom

• You have two different authentication types, but you want one page to direct everyone based upon their authentication type.  You need a Landing Page that all requests go to before going to ILLiad.

Resolution

You need to do the following to set up the Authentication Portal.

1. If you are hosted by OCLC, then you need to contact OCLC to set up the Portal.
2. You will then need to follow the instructions on Using an Authentication Portal Landing Page and Configuring the ATLAS Authentication Portal.
3. If you are self-hosted, your Web Server Administrator will need to set up your Portal Page and then you configure the ATLAS Authentication Portal.
