Why is a TCP/IP export from WorldShare Record Manager failing?

Symptom
  • When I export to TCP/IP, I see an error in WorldShare Record Manager that reads ERROR: Did not find End-of-Record.
Applies to
  • WorldShare Record Manager
Resolution
Verify that the file is formated correctly to the specifications of the recieving catalog software.  Contact the catalog vendor if the upload file formatting specifications are unknown.  This error can occur because there is a hex character missing from the end of the record.  The hex character is used as a stop sign for some third party catalogs use to key upload commands.

If you are seeing this error in WorldShare Record Manager, change the export format inside user settings to a UTF-8 format.  This change has been known to clear the issue.
