A record is locked, who should I contact to unlock the record?

Answer

If a WorldCat record becomes locked due to an OCLC cataloging system suddenly closing, the computer rebooting, or you want to know why a record is currently locked, please contact bibchange@oclc.org with your OCLC symbol and the OCLC or Authority number of the locked record.

Please keep in mind that OCLC also allows member institutions to lock records for up to two weeks to complete their edits. See Chapter 5, Quality Assurance, in Bibliographic Formats and Standards for more information on locked records.
