Release Date: October 16, 2021
This release of WorldShare Record Manager provides four new features and enhancements in addition to three bug fixes. These features, including the following, will help you manage more complex workflows.
You can now manually add a shared print commitment in the LHR editor for local holdings records that you are committing to retain. Previously shared print commitments could only be added through data sync in WorldShare Collection Manager.
If you want to add a shared print commitment, follow these steps:
Field 066 is now being displayed in bibliographic records in case the record contains data in non-Latin script. Previously, the 066 field did not display in bibliographic records. You can now make cataloging edits based on what value displays in the 066 field.
You can now add the workflow status "In Review" to a record in the Bibliographic Records Saved - In Progress file. This status is also available for the Authority Saved - In Progress file and adding it to the Bibliographic Saved - In Progress file now provides a consistent user experience.
The Workflow status "In Review" has now been added to the list of indexes for searching the Bibliographic Saved - In Progress file. This index is also available for the Authority Saved - In Progress file and offering it for bibliographic searches now provides a consistent user experience.
You can now see the edition statement, taken from MARC tag 250 on search results lists, the Details page, and the bibliographic information in the blue info icon. This helps you to identify the record you're looking for easily.
Note: This functionality was prioritized highly on our WorldShare Record Manager Community Feedback Survey.
You can now see the uniform title information, taken from MARC tag 130 or 240, on the Details page and the bibliographic information in the blue info icon. This helps you to identify the record you're looking for easily.
Note: This functionality was prioritized highly on our WorldShare Record Manager Community Feedback Survey.
Now field 876 $d will remain in the LHR when you edit and replace the Temporary Shelving Location in text-view. Previously, the 876 $d field was deleted when the Temporary Shelving Location was updated in text-view.
You will now see the options in the dropdown list when transferring LHRs to a new bibliographic record and working in the French user interface (or any other language). Previously, these texts were displayed in the English interface only.
You can now apply author facets containing special characters and they will return appropriate results. Previously, when applying an author facet that contained specific characters such as a period or an ampersand in some cases no results were found.
