OCLC works with some providers to automatically add and maintain your library-specific collection data to knowledge base collections in WorldShare Collection Manager.
Once the holdings feed is set up, OCLC will select all applicable collections according to the data received from the vendor.
On the Collection Manager Home screen, the Automatic holdings feeds tab shows all the holdings feeds that have ever been set up. The information provided for each Source includes:
Use the Actions column to Edit, Pause, or Remove existing holdings feeds. Selections made here will also be reflected within the Data Sources in the Institution Settings and Collection-level settings.
Click on the link for the provider to be taken to that provider's activity history screen.

| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Pending | The feed request has been submitted and is waiting for its initial provider update. |
| Manual only | The feed is set to be updated manually only and does not receive provider updates. This setting can be changed at the Institution level. |
| Paused | The feed has been paused and is not receiving provider updates. Users can resume the feed using the Actions menu in the Automatic Holdings Feed view on the Collection Manager home page. |
| Active | The feed is functioning normally and receiving updates. |
| Updating | The feed is currently processing an update. This status typically appears briefly during the update process. |
Note: Allow for a full frequency cycle for the provider before the holdings feed will commence.
The feed request status will update to Pending as it is waiting for its initial provider update. When the feed is functioning, the status will be Active.
The status will update to either Paused or Active depending on the action taken.
Caution: This will remove all configured settings and automatic holdings feed data from the provider. This action cannot be reversed.
Note:
Titles are not deselected when a feed is discontinued. Once the feed is discontinued, the library can deselect a subset of titles or the collection in full. Refer to Deselect a title or collection for more information.
Note: When a collection is updated by an automated holdings feed, you should not select the option to Auto Select Titles in the Titles accordion of the collection's settings. Refer to Collection-level settings in knowledge base collections, Auto Select Titles for more information.
