Why aren't all records in a collection being delivered when I request a complete set of records?

  • Request a complete set of records only delivers some or none of the records in the collection
Applies to
  • WorldShare Collection Managers

When a full set of records is requested, records will be output in the type of file correct for that record, they are not all output in one file labeled complete set or a similar title.  If records have been delivered before, they will not be delivered as "new." again but records never delivered before will be in the New file.  You may also find records in deletes or merges files.

Additionally in order to be matched onto a WorldCat records and delivered, a title in a knowledgebase collection must have an OCLC Control Number (OCN) assigned to it. If a title only has a Title URL or another identifier, such as an ISBN or an ISSN, the record included in the file. An OCN must be present, on the title in the collection, in order for the record to be deliverable.
