How do I correspond with the OCLC staff assigned to my data sync collection?

The Comments accordion allows you to communicate with OCLC staff about your data sync collection. It appears after you save your collection for the first time. OCLC staff can also communicate with you about your collection.

Add a comment to the list

  1. Navigate to the WorldShare interface > Metadata tab > Collection Manager.
  2. Select Data Sync Collection from the Scope drop-down list.
  3. Click Search.
  4. From the search results list, click the Collection Name to open the collection profile you want to add a comment to.
  5. From the collection profile, click Comments to open the accordion.
  6. Click Add Comment. The Add Comment window opens.
  7. Enter a Topic for your comment.
  8. Enter a Comment (e.g., question, additional information, response, etc.) about your collection.
  9. Click Add to save your comment to the list.
     Note: Once you have added your comment to the list, it cannot be edited or deleted.

View a comment in the list

  1. Navigate to the WorldShare interface > Metadata tab > Collection Manager.
  2. Select Data Sync Collection from the Scope drop-down list.
  3. Click Search.
  4. From the search results list, click the Collection Name to open the collection profile you want to add a comment to.
  5. From the collection profile, click Comments to open the accordion.
  6. Click the Topic of the comment you wish to view.
  7. Click Close to return to the comment list.
