Can I download a file of unresolved records?

In most cases, it is not possible to download a file of unresolved records.

An unresolved cross reference file is generated after data sync processing. This file can be used to identify, review and correct unresolved records.

For libraries that request WorldCat record delivery from data sync processing, the library may choose to have a file of unresolved records delivered as well.  See Complete the MARC Record Output Information accordion for information on when a library can request a file of unresolved records.

Correct unresolved records with Record Manager or OCLC Connexion

  1. The Unresolved Cross Reference file contains the OCLC control numbers for your unresolved records. Obtain the Unresolved Cross Reference file.
  2. Search for and export these records with Record Manager or OCLC Connexion (client or browser). Review and correct the records.
  3. Replace the records online.

Correct unresolved records using your library catalog

  2. Search for the records in your local library catalog. Review and correct the records.
  3. Once corrected, use the records to resubmit for processing.
