Note:
- If you are a library that would like to synchronize or update your holdings in WorldCat with your local catalog using a third-party provider or a consortial partner/head, but they are not listed above, please contact OCLC Support in your region.
- If you are not one of the third-party providers or consortial heads listed above, please contact OCLC Support in your region.
Synchronize or update your holdings in WorldCat using a third-party provider or a consortial partner/head
- Set up a Bibliographic collection, Delete WorldCat holdings collection, or a Non-MARC numeric search key collection.
- Once your collection is set up, send your collection ID to your third-party provider or consortial partner/head.
- Your third-party provider or consortial partner/head will connect with OCLC for your specific set up.
- Your third-party provider or consortial partner/head will let you know when your holdings have been synchronized or updated.
Note:
- For bibliographic and delete WorldCat holdings collections, you can submit MARC, MARCXML, and ONIX 3.0 or above files for data sync processing.
- If you are using multiple third-party providers, please set up a collection for each provider.
- Your resulting data sync reports will be available under your own account.
Synchronize or update holdings in WorldCat for a library's local catalog on behalf of a library
- Ensure you have the data sync collection ID for the library you are working on behalf of.
- Connect with OCLC Support or DataSync Users to arrange for set up on behalf of the library.
- OCLC will connect with you when ready.
- You will connect with the library you are working on behalf of when ready.
Note:
- For bibliographic and delete WorldCat holdings collections, you can submit MARC, MARCXML, and ONIX 3.0 or above files for data sync processing.
- If the library has not provided you with a data sync collection ID, refer the library to the instructions provided above.
- Resulting data sync reports will be available under the library's account.
