Files uploaded to ftp-emea.oclc.org remain empty
Symptom
- Fles uploaded to ftp-emea.oclc.org or ftp-nl.oclc.org appear to remain empty, i.e. contain zero bytes.
Applies to
ftp server:
- ftp-emea.oclc.org
- ftp-nl.oclc.org
Resolution
Please make sure the ftp client you use is set to be using PASSIVE mode.
Additional information
The ftp server software was replaced in August 2023 and from then on only allows ftp in PASSIVE mode.
