When exporting to an ILS, it is creating a new bibliographic record instead of overlaying in the ILS

Symptom
  • When we use the macro to overlay and send to our ILS (Sierra), it is not working correctly. It is creating a new bib vs overlaying.
Applies to
  • Connexion client and Connexion browser.
Resolution

Short introduction or instructions to follow these steps:

  1. Go to Tools>Options>Export and highlight your gateway export destination and click edit, you will see in the settings, Retries, Timeouts, and Delay.

    Change the delay to 30 and try the export again.
Additional information

This applies to any export issue with an ILS (Innovation, ( Sierra, Alma ) that isn't returning a message from the ILS, like a bib number or confirmation they received the file.
