Create a New Constant Data Record

Find out how to access and use the Create a New Constant Data Record window in Connexion client.

Purpose of the Create a New Constant Data Record window

  • Select the format for a new constant data record you want to create.
  • Open a workform in the format you select.

Access the Create a New Constant Data Record window

  1. Navigate to Cataloging > Create > Constant Data or press <Ctr><Shift><N>.
    Or
    Click Authorities > Create > Constant Data or press <Ctrl><Shift><Q>.
  2. Select a MARC format and click OK. A workform opens with some data appropriate for the format supplied.

  • Books (default)

  • Continuing Resources (includes both serials and integrating resources)

  • Visual Materials
  • Blank Record (default)
  • Conference Name
  • Corporate Name
  • Geographics
  • Personal Name
  • Series
  • Uniform Title

 

 

Button name Click the button to...
OK Open a constant data workform based on the format you selected.
Cancel Cancel creating a new constant data record and close the window.
