Column Settings

Find out how to access and use the Column Settings window in Connexion client.

Purpose of the Column Settings window

  • Move the names of columns to reorganize a list.
  • Select columns to show or hide in a list.

Access the Column Settings window

  1. Right-click anywhere in an open list.
  2. In the shortcut pop-up menu, click List Settings.
  3. Select options (see details below).
  4. Click OK.

Column Settings window: Features and buttons

Feature How to use
List of columns by name and check boxes for each Move a selected column down one position.
  • To hide a column, select a column by its name and click Hide.
    Or
    Double-click a column to deselect the check box next to its name.
  • To display a hidden column, select the column in the list and click Show
    Or
    Double-click a column to select the check box next to the column name.

By default, all columns display in most lists. However, two columns in the WorldCat truncated list are hidden by default:

  • Holdings (total number of holdings)
  • Control # (OCLC number).

Display any or all of these using settings in this window.

 

Button name Click the button to...
Move Up Move a selected column up one position.
Move Down Move a selected column down one position.
Show Display the selected column in the list (a check mark next to the column name indicates that it displays).
Hide Hide the selected column in the list (no check mark next to the column name).
Reset Reset the list to the default order and display of columns (all columns show).
OK Apply the settings you entered and close the window.
Cancel Cancel the settings you changed and close the window.
