Find out how to access and use the Choose Fields to Auto-Transliterate  window in Connexion client.

Purpose of the Choose Fields to Auto-Transliterate window

  • Customize the fields to be automatically transliterated from romanized data (Latin script representation) to Arabic script data when you retrieve Arabic or Persian records from WorldCat interactively. This can be applied to records that have language code ara or per and no field 066.

Access the Choose Fields to Auto-Transliterate window

  1. Navigate to Tools > Options > International.
  2. Select the Auto-transliterate Arabic fields check box.
  3. Select or deselect check boxes to define fields you want to auto-transliterate.
  4. Click OK.

Feature How to use
Check boxes for fields 1XX through 8XX (X= any number) Click to select or clear fields you want to the client to auto-transliterate from romanized data to Arabic script data when you retrieve records from WorldCat interactively.

The client auto-transliterates records that have language code ara or per and no field 066.

Default: All check boxes are selected (1XX through 8XX).

 

Button name Click the button to...
OK Apply the settings you entered and close the window. You are returned to the International tab of the Options window.

You must click OK or Apply to confirm your setting before closing the Options window.
Cancel Cancel any changes you made and close the window. You are returned to the International tab.
