Mark a record for batch Replace

  1. Save the records you want to batch replace in the bibliographic local save file.
  2. While logged off, display a bibliographic record from the local save file.
    Or
    Select records in the local bibliographic save file list:
    • To select adjacent records, click to highlight the first entry, press and hold <Shift>, and then click the last entry.
    • To select nonadjacent entries, click to highlight the first entry. Press <Ctrl> and click to highlight other entries.
  3. Click Action > Replace Record or press <Alt><F10>.
    Or
    Click Action > Replace and Update Holdings or press <Alt><F11>.

    The Replace status for the record(s) changes to R (Ready).
     Note: Replace and Update Holdings is unavailable for batch processing.
  4. When finished marking records, run batch processing. Replacing records via batch has the same results as replacing them interactively.

Clear Ready status to remove record from batch

To withdraw record(s) from batch Replace, remove the Ready status:

  1. Open a record from the local bibliographic save file with a Ready status for Replace.
    Or
    Select records in the local bibliographic save file list that have the Ready status for Replace:
    • To select adjacent records, click to highlight the first entry, press and hold <Shift>, and then click the last entry.
    • To select nonadjacent entries, click to highlight the first entry. Press <Ctrl> and click to highlight other entries.
    • Click Action > Set Status or press <Alt><Shift><S>.
    • In the Set Status window, under Remove ready status for batch, select the Replace check box.
    • Click OK to remove the action and close the window.
      • Removes the Ready status (R) from the record(s).
      • Removes the record(s) from inclusion in the next batch run, unless you mark it for another action.
      Or
      Click Cancel to close the window without removing the actions.
