Why am I getting zero results when using Find and Replace to update punctuation in CONTENTdm?

Resolution
The Find & Replace tool in CONTENTdm (classic version) Administration uses similar search functionality as that of the public-facing website. Because of this, it is not a reliable tool for replacing punction in records, and a manual audit of metadata is recommended instead.
