Error messages when trying to approval all controlled vocabulary terms

Symptom

  • When you try to approve all controlled vocabulary terms, you get the following error messages:
  • Error, this script is not password-protected.
    Error, please check Server administration installation.

Applies to

  • CONTENTdm (classic version)

Resolution

The approval queue often experiences issues adding large numbers of new controlled vocabulary terms at once. Rather than adding them via the approval queue, I would recommend the following workflow:

  1. Go to Collections
  2. Select the desired Current Collection from the dropdown and change
  3. Field Properties
  4. Select edit for the desired metadata field
  5. Administer shared controlled vocabulary
  6. Add your list of new terms (one per line) to the Add term field and click add

You can add all of your terms for the desired metadata field at the same time from this screen. Then you can go back to the approval queue and submit the items for approval.
