| Administrator | Administrators can assign any role and have all rights, access, and privileges to all CONTENTdm content and features. |
| Collection manager | Collection Manager can assign manager and builder roles, create/edit collections, change collection metadata templates, add/edit metadata properties, create/edit vocabularies, customize website, customize thumbnails, view reports, configure analytics integration. |
| Collection builder | Collection Builder can create/edit drafts, batch upload, create/edit exhibits, move items across collections. |
| Website manager | Website Manager can customize the website only. |
