Why do I get a different result when searching CONTENTdm's Basic search and Advanced search?

Symptom

• You're seeing different results come back for the same search terms when searching CONTENTdm in the Basic search and the Advanced search.

• CONTENTdm

Resolution

The Basic search searches all fields within the record, including the transcript, if present. The Advanced search, on the other hand, is only searching the field you selected to search in the Advanced search form.
