Why can I not upload any JPEG files to the CONTENTdm Website Configuration Tool?

This problem occurs because of embedded metadata inside the file (e.g. EXIF, IPTC, XMP).  To strip this embedded metadata out of the file you will need to re-save your image file by following these steps:

  1. Open the file using image editing software
  2. Export or save a new version of the file
    • NOTE: If prompted, deselect or omit EXIF, IPTC, and XMP metadata
  3. Upload the new file in the CONTENTdm Website Configuration Tool
