The size limits for records and collections in CONTENTdm are:

• Size limit per record: Since items are displayed to and downloaded by end users, you would not want the files to be too large. The Project Client does have a limit of 2GB when uploading single digital files. 
• Total number of records: No enforced limit. Note that as collections get larger, they will take longer to index.
• Total MB/GB per collection: No enforced limit other than the the amount of storage in your subscription. 
• Grand total per server: No enforced limit.
