Additional information

Changes to your CONTENTdm 6.x site effective August 31, 2018

To better align CONTENTdm 6.x sites with our current security protocols and newer regulatory requirements, OCLC has disabled the ability to upload .php files to customize the site.

Nothing else has changed, and with this one exception, your CONTENTdm site will continue to work as it always has.  Any .php files that you have already installed will continue to work as well.

We understand that the inability to upload .php files may impact plans to further customize the look and feel of your site. Our recommended option is to move to the new responsive CONTENTdm site as recent enhancements have greatly expanded the customization options.  In fact, the new advanced website customization help guide provides a wealth of information including a customization “cookbook” where you can copy examples and apply them to your upgraded site. If you are ready to move over to the new responsive site and experience its many benefits, please call Customer Support at 1-800-848-5800.

If you wish to wait to make the move to the responsive site we are happy to upload .php files for you as needed. Simply contact OCLC Support when you are ready, and we will be happy to assist.

Thank you for being part of the CONTENTdm community.
