Cannot open PDF in Project Client when clicking the View button

Answer

The 2026/01/26 Windows OS update resulted in degraded functionality for version 7.0.77.0 of the Project Client. This version of the Windows OS prevents the embedding of external applications when clicking on the View button to preview PDFs in the Client. To workaround this issue, PDFs will need to be opened directly in the local default application for viewing these types of files.
