The integrated ABBYY FineReader SDK 12 is installed simultaneously with the Project Client, however firewalls often prevent the successful installation of this separate service. Ensure the following to confirm your OCR functionality was installed properly:
C:\ProgramData\ABBYY
and all subdirectoriesIf neither the service nor the directory is present on the device, the CONTENTdm Project Client will need to be uninstalled and reinstalled. The most common reason for the ABBYY integration failing to install correctly is due to Firewall rules, and Local Support needs to be contacted to have the firewall disabled or removed during the installation.
