Add compound objects

Find information about compound objects and learn how to add a compound object.

Compound objects are two or more files bound together with an XML structure. If working with any related item sets, such as multiple pages for an article, a book or a yearbook, ingest them as compound objects. Compared to a single item, a compound object is more complicated to create and edit when compared to a single item.

Compound objects can be created one at a time in CONTENTdm Administration. Use the Project Client for more complex handling of compound objects, such as batch upload and editing.
