Discover how to export a list of WorldCat holdings titles and the summary table in WorldShare Collection Evaluation.

 Note: When you export a list of your WorldCat title holdings, the export file provides item-level detail for the titles held. The summary table provides title counts.

Export a list of WorldCat holdings titles

After you request an exported list, you can download the comparison export, which is a zipped Microsoft Excel file (xls.zip), from the data center associated with your OCLC file exchange account.

A message window opens that states that the export has been requested using the filters you provided and that it will be available in your My Files repository in approximately two hours.

  1. (Optional) Apply a filter.
  2. Click Export Title List.
  3. Enter a name and description for the exported file. File name requirements:
    • Between 1 and 50 characters
    • Only alphanumeric characters or the following symbols: dot/period (.), dash or hyphen (-), or underscore (_)
    • Cannot begin or end with a dot/period (.)
  4. Click OK.

When the export file is available, you will receive an alert in the WorldShare toolbar.

Export the summary table

With this procedure you can export and download a spreadsheet of what the table displays online.

  1. (Optional) Apply a filter.
  2. Click Export Summary Table.
  3. Select the Save File option.
  4. Click OK.
