Why am I seeing an 'Error deleting entry' warning when I try to delete a Loan Policy?

Symptom

• Error deleting entry warning appears when trying to delete a Loan Policy.

Applies to

• WorldShare Circulation
• WorldShare Management Services (WMS)

Resolution

A loan policy cannot be deleted if:

• The policy is selected in the Loan Policy Map
• The policy is assigned to any active loans

Remove the Loan Policy from the WMS Circulation > Loans > Loan Policy Map (Fifth Column). This will keep the Loan Policy from being applied in the future. However, the Loan Policy can not be deleted until all the items on loan (checked out) with that policy have been returned.
