Edit receiving settings

Discover how to search for a serial and edit receiving settings in WorldShare Acquisitions.

You can the change number of copies expected after receiving has started, and change the issue from which you expect to start receiving.    

Edit receiving settings

  1. Search for the serial in Discover Items in the left navigation.
  2. From the search results, click the serial's title.
  3. Click the Receive Issues tab.
  4. On the right side of the screen, above the Action column, click Edit receiving settings.  The Receiving Settings window appears.
  5. On the Receiving Settings window:
    1. Enter the number of copies you expect to receive.
    2. Choose the issue from which you expect to start receiving copies (any issue for which there are outstanding copies to be received). All issues after the one you chose will have the number you chose in step 1 in the Copies Received column (n of n).
  6. Click Save.
    • The number of copies you expect to receive appears as the second number in the Copies Received column (n of n), starting with the issue you indicated and including all remaining, yet-to-be-received issues.
    • Copies not received automatically appear on the Missing Issues screen (Serial Issues > Missing Issues). See Claim serial issues for more information.

Edit receiving history

Use the receiving history table to adjust expected copy counts and modify issue ranges when subscription patterns have changed. The receiving history table is available on the Edit receiving settings screen.

 Note: If you remove receiving settings for issues that currently display in the receiving table, those issues will still appear in the table, but the expected copies received will become 0.

  1. Search for the serial in Discover Items in the left navigation.
  2. From the search results, click the serial's title.
  3. Click the Receive Issues tab.
  4. On the right side of the screen, above the Action column, click Edit receiving settings.  The Receiving Settings window appears.
  5. In the Edit receiving history table, click the ellipses in the Actions column to:
    • Edit or delete an existing row
    • Add a new row above or below any currently selected row
    • Modify settings for specific issue ranges
  6. Click Save.
