Tag 245

Discover how the title statement tag is used in OLIB.

 

Tag(s) 245
Indicators 0, 1; 0-9 The first indicator maps to the setting Title Added Entry. If not set this will be exported as a '1' - Added entry. Setting Title Added Entry to "No" will export this as '0' - No added entry.
The second indicator maps directly to the Non-file Characters value. Normally this is generated automatically and need not be altered manually.
Subfields a, b, c, f, g, h, k, n, p, s These subfields are imported and exported to/from various fields on the Titles record.

Punctuation for this field is largely handled automatically. In rare cases, some manual adjustment may be required. This is best described by the cataloguing activity on the MARC Details sheet of the standard General (Books) layout.
