Subfield Sample Notes
a KPR Original cataloging agency. This the ISIL or OCLC code for the organisation who originally produced the catalogue information for this record. This is imported to and exported from the Title's Original Cataloguing Agency attribute.
b eng Language of Cataloguing. This is the MARC21 Language code for the language used to describe the record. This is not an indication that the entire bibliographic record is in this language. For example the Title may well be well known by non-English words (eg: Don Quijote de la Mancha) but may have Subjects and Notes in English. This is imported to and exported from the Title's Language of Cataloguing attribute.
This is required for matching during Batchload into WorldCat.
The value for this defaults to the Language specified in Admin Client Defaults or specified at Location level. If neither default is available, the language will default to the first Item Language as long as there are no Subjects associated with the title that are assigned a different language.
c KPR Transcribing agency. This is imported to and exported from the Title's Transcribing Cataloguing Agency attribute.
d* OCLCQ Modifying agency (repeatable). This is imported to and exported from the Title's Modifying Agencies attribute. Maintenance of this value is carried out via the Modifying Agency Input attribute.
e* appm Description Conventions (repeatable). This is imported to and exported from the Title's Description Conventions attribute. Maintenance of this value is carried out via the Description Conventions Input attribute.
