New features and enhancements

Saved Query Sharing

Choreo Insights now allows you to share saved queries with other Choreo users at your institution. This new functionality helps your library reduce duplicate work and increase collaboration by giving users the ability to run queries generated by other users. This new functionality will be seen under the Saved Queries area. New filters and column sorts will give you and your library the ability to quickly and easily find the queries you are looking for.

Saving a New Query

To save a new query you will need to click the Save Query button. From here you will be presented with a Save As option. If you have already saved your query and are looking to save any changes you might have made, then you will see both a Save and Save As option.

When you click the Save As option you will be presented with a pop-up menu where you can name your query before saving it. The default name for new queries is Query1. The maximum length a query name can be is 50 characters.

Loading a saved query

To load a query saved by yourself or another Choreo Insights user at your library you can navigate to the Insights tab at the top of the screen. Clicking on the tab will present you with a drop-down. Choose the Saved Insights option to be brought to a new screen showing all the saved queries. To load a saved query, just click on the name and the query criteria will be loaded into the Insights Builder area. If you want to save a query that was not created by you, clicking the save query button will present you with the Save As option where you can rename the query.

Enhanced ISBN Matching for Title List Upload

Choreo Insights now provides enhanced ISBN-matching functionality for user-uploaded title lists. This functionality helps your library by reducing the number of unmatched identifiers when uploading ISBNs. Choreo Insights does this by matching an ISBN to all OCLC numbers related to it rather than returning a list of unmatched OCLC numbers, having your library select one, and then re-upload the file.

ISSNs in Choreo Insights Export

Choreo Insights now gives you the ability to view ISSNs in your Choreo query exports. This new functionality gives you and your library an additional identifier to use when performing Choreo queries for journals. The new column is called ISSN and is located to the right of the ISBN column in the export.

Bug fixes

  • A previous issue that was returning retained titles when using the My Library Retains filter has now been resolved. Only items that have been retained will now appear when you use that filter in your Choreo queries.
