Customise PDF help Files

Location of Original Help Files

The original text version of the Help > Getting Started and Help > Procedure Manual can be located in the AmlibSIP2/HelpDocs folder on the Amlib server. These files may be customised to incorporate information specific to your institution and then linked to the Amlib SIP2 Manager client.

The two files are:

  • SIP2GettingStarted.doc
  • SIP2ProcedureManual.doc

Once modified they can be saved in PDF format

The altered file should be saved with a new name (for example: SIP2GETSTAT.DOC to avoid being overwritten during an upgrade.

Link to an Updated File

  1. Launch the Amlib SIP2 Manager client
  2. The initial screen shows the current processes
  3. From the menu, select File > Properties – a blank Properties screen will display
  4. The File Paths to the Getting Started guide and the Procedure Manual will both be showing.
  5. To link to an updated guide:
    1. Click on the button next to the file you want to alter
    2. Navigate to the location of the customised file
