How do I update my library's name or address?

Symptom

• Your library's name and/or address has changed and you want to correct it in all of OCLC's products and services.

Applies to

• WorldCat Registry
• WorldShare ILL
• WorldCat Discovery
• Policies Directory
• Service Configuration

Resolution

We recommend checking the following settings to see if they need updated (if you don't have any ILL subscriptions, you don't need to worry about those settings):

• Update the WorldCat Registry in the Name and Location tab in your Service Configuration.
• Update your Constant Data settings in Service Configuration > WorldShare ILL > Borrower Data and Lender Data tabs. 
• Update the Contacts tab in the Policies Directory.

To update your library's name on your OCLC account, send an email to OCLC Order services so we can update this information for your OCLC symbol. Note in the email if you need to have the WorldCat.org URL changed as well.
