Send and retrieve files via SFTP

As a provider that is a partner of OCLC, you send collection or customer data to OCLC on behalf of your customers and OCLC might provide you with reports. OCLC's preferred method to transfer files is via SFTP.

Send collection and customer holding data

  1. Enter the host name and port associated with your OCLC file exchange account.
  2. Enter your OCLC file exchange account username and password. If you do not have one, please send a message to your OCLC contact.
  3. Navigate to the file directory location (e.g., /xfer/wckb/in/data).

Retrieve provider reports or other data

  1. Enter the host name and port associated with your OCLC file exchange account.
  2. Enter your OCLC file exchange account username and password. If you do not have one, please send a message to your OCLC contact.
  3. Navigate to the file directory location (e.g., /xfer/metacoll/reports).
