Profile Settings
Use this screen to control the display on the Profile tab in My Account. For more information, refer to:

Note: The Circulation Admin or WorldShare ILL Admin role is required to view the Profile Settings module.
Public user notes
Display public notes to your library users on the Profile tab in My Account. These are public notes that your library staff has associated with a specific user's account in the WorldShare Admin tab. Refer to WorldShare Admin, Notes for more information.
To enable Public user notes, toggle the Display public notes in the user's profile option and click Save.
When enabled:
- All library users will see all notes associated with their individual accounts.
- Only library staff and the individual library user will see the notes.
- Up to five notes per user can be displayed.
- Alert notes display at the top of the list.
Public user notes are disabled by default.
Notification usage message
Display a Notification usage message to library users that describes why certain information is shown and how to get more information related to institution policies.
To add a notification usage message:
- Toggle on the Display a custom message about how user contact information is used and managed setting.
- Enter your text in the Notification usage message text box.
- The data insert ${Link!} allows you to include a hyperlink to more information.
- Optional. Add Translation for the Notification usage message.
- Select the desired language from the drop-down.
- Add Custom Text to display when the user has selected this language in the My Account interface.
- Enter your Contact information link.
- Enter the Contact information link display text.
- Optional. Add Translation for the Contact information link and display text.
- Select the desired language from the drop-down.
- Add Custom Text to display when the user has selected this language in the My Account interface.
- Click Save.
Email notifications
Determine whether to display settings for opting in/out of email and users' alternate email addresses.
Enable or Disable the following settings:
- Display option to opt in/out of email notifications
- Display an alternate email address in the user's profile.
- Disabling the alternate email address field will not delete data. The user may not see or edit the data but it may still be used to send notifications. To delete or overwrite, you may use the Patron Data Loading process or the WorldShare Identity Management API.
- Allow user to edit the alternate email address
The display of email notification options is off by default.
SMS/Text notifications
Determine whether to display settings for opting in/out of texts and the user's mobile phone number.
Enable or Disable the following settings:
- Display option to opt in/out of SMS/text notifications
- Display mobile number field in the user's profile.
- Disabling the mobile number field will not delete data. The user may not see or edit the data but it may still be used to send notifications. To delete or overwrite, you may use the Patron Data Loading process or the WorldShare Identity Management API.
- Allow user to edit mobile number
The display of SMS/Text notification options is off by default.
