You are not authorized to view this content error comes up when a logged-in user attempts to place an ILL request

  • A WorldCat Discovery user who is signed into their account clicks on the "Request item through Interlibrary Loan" tab in a record, but the patron is redirected to a screen stating "You are not authorized to view this content."

This issue stems from the presence of two resource-sharing buttons enabled in Service Configuration > WorldCat Discovery and WorldCat Local > Place Hold/Request Buttons > Resource Sharing (Any level). Removing the second request button should resolve the issue. 

If this does not resolve the issue, please contact OCLC Support with your name, library name/symbol,  where/when the error appears, and any troubleshooting steps you've already taken.
