Why does "INSERT-MISSING-URL" display when creating a citation?

Applies to
  • WorldCat Discovery
Answer

Some citation styles ask for data we don’t have in a bib record.  In those cases, we supply text in the formatted citation indicating data has to be added.  Here is an example, record number 793013952:

  • Davis, Wendy B, and Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction. “Interference with Flight Crew.” Interference with Flight Crew, Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction, INSERT-MISSING-URL. Accessed Aug. 2017.

Citations are built by Chegg's EasyBib service. They format the citation based on the style that is requested and the metadata that we send.
