Library is unable to save changes in the Service Configuration

Symptom
  • This issue happens when there is conflicting information in the Service Config.  The majority of the time this is a problem in the Full Text OpenURL Resolvers module under WorldCat Discovery and WorldCat Local in the Service Configuration.

Resolution

User or OCLC staff member is unable to save in the Service Config. 

The error received is something like this:  

We’re sorry there has been an error publishing this record. 

Possible Senarios  

1. OpenURL Resolver Module 

  • The resolver is set to display always, but no resolver is selected. 
  • There is a resolver selected, but all the options for displaying it are set to none. 

  • The resolver is set to ‘none’ on the main landing page and no set up options are listed.  Select the library from the dropdown to expand the options of the module and review for conflicting information (as in the above senarios).
