In the holdings summary of a journal, why does one listing have the status as not available and the other as available?

Applies to
  • WorldCat Discovery
Answer

The item status is displayed from the Status Treatment configuration in the OPAC status grid in the OCLC Service Configuration. If one item is showing the status as unavailable, the item matches a line in the OPAC status grid with the status treatment of unavailable based on the OPAC Status Message or Location. However, the other item matches a line in the OPAC status grid with the status treatment of available based on the OPAC Status Message or Location.

Additional information

Additional information about configuring your OPAC status grid can be found on the OPAC Status, Locations and Circulation Policies help page.
