In WorldCat Discovery results
When a search result for an article in WorldCat Discovery contains a DOI and LibKey Discovery returns a full-text link, the link will display in the search results and at the item record with a View PDF button. It will also display first in Access Online area of item detail views with other Primary links. This button will display if more than one link is present.
In the Full Text and Open access links module of the OCLC Service Configuration:
- If the option to Display first primary link only is enabled, the link will display on the interface search results and item details Access Options panel as a View PDF button when a search result for an article in WorldCat Discovery contains a DOI which finds a match in the LibKey PDF service and LibKey Discovery returns a full text link.
- If you have configured to Display all primary links on search results and on the Access Options panel, the button to expand the list of links will display the text View PDF in the WorldCat Discovery search results and item details Access Options. Selecting the button will open a drawer containing additional e-links to the item.
Retracted articles
When a search result for an article in WorldCat Discovery contains a DOI and an ISSN recognized by LibKey, WorldCat Discovery will provide a link to retracted articles to allow users to be informed about the credibility of an article during their research process. If the article has been retracted, the Retracted article button will display.
- To display retracted articles, in the Full Text and Open access links module of the OCLC Service Configuration:
- Select Links from DOI under Primary Links. The retraction notice will surface regardless of whether Display all primary links or Display first primary link only is selected.
- If Display first primary link only is selected, the retraction indicator will appear on search results with the Retracted article notice and a Retracted article label for the access online button.
- If Display all primary links is selected, selecting the Retracted article button for an item with multiple e-links will pull out a drawer where the retracted article is labeled as such.
- Select Links from DOI under Primary Links. The retraction notice will surface regardless of whether Display all primary links or Display first primary link only is selected.
In the A - Z list
When an article search in the A - Z list contains a DOI and LibKey Discovery returns a full-text link, the link will display as the first link in the A - Z article details page.
When users navigate to your WorldCat Discovery A - Z list from Google Scholar or any third-party database using OCLC's link resolver, they will see the LibKey Discovery integration display when the integration returns links to View PDF and Explore articles from the issue containing the article or the most recent issue of the journal.
More from this Journal
When a search result for an article in WorldCat Discovery contains a DOI and an ISSN recognized by LibKey, WorldCat Discovery provides two links to browse related articles. These links appear in the More from this Journal accordion in the record.
- Explore articles from this issue of [Journal title] links to the issue in which the selected article was published. The user will be anchored on the article in relative location to other articles from that issue.
- Explore articles from the most recent issue of [Journal title] links to the most recent issue in which the selected article was published. The user will be anchored on the first article from that issue.
When a search result for an article in WorldCat Discovery does not contain, or LibKey does not recognize one of these identifiers, users may see only one or none of the links to browse the journal in the More from this Journal accordion.
