When trying to delete a Museum Pass I get the error, "This item ID already exists or this item is checked out. Only the item status can be updated."

Symptom

  • Error when deleting Museum Pass: "This item ID already exists, or this item is checked out. Only the item status can be updated."

Applies to

  • MuseumKey

Resolution

Try these steps:

  1. This issue may occur because two passes have the same name. Rename one,  and then try to delete it.
  2. A prior reservation may still be marked as checked out.  Check-in both passes, or wait for the one currently checked out to be returned, and then try to delete one.
